The latest APECS newsletter is available! Are you a meteorologist interested in weather and climate prediction? Then read the first call for applications to the 2018 Polar Prediction School, which will be held from 17 – 27 April 2018 at the Abisko Scientific Research Station in Sweden. Keen to further your studies? Then have a look at the Postgraduate Certificate in Antarctic Studies (PCAS) developed by the University of Canterbury and Antarctica New Zealand. You could travel to Scott Base, New Zealand’s station on Ross Island, as well as a field campsite on the Ross Ice Shelf. Applications close on 1 August 2017. Future Earth offers a series of travel grants (up to 1 500 Euros) to emerging researchers to attend sustainability events around the world. If you are working in fields relevant to sustainability and to practitioners in policy, business, civil society and more, then you can apply! Applications can be made throughout the year and 20 grants are awarded within one calendar year. Read more on these grants here and the entire newsletter here.
