If you are attending the upcoming Society of South African Geographers biennial conference at the University of the Free State in October this year, consider applying for the 5th Writing Workshop scheduled for the 4th of October. All emerging scholars normally based in an academic department or an institute at a South African university with an interest in publishing an academic journal article on a Geography-related theme are encouraged to apply to participate in the workshop.
How to Apply
- Provide a well-developed draft paper of 6 000 to 8 000 words, prepared for submission for publication in a scholarly journal and sent to the workshop organizer by 7 September 2018. You must include an abstract with the article, and the details of the journal to which the paper will be submitted.
- To be eligible for participation you must participate in the workshop fully and actively. This means you must read and comment on all papers.
