If you find yourself with a bit of time during March next year why don’t you join the 12th Gordon Research Conference on Polar Marine Science. The conference will take place on17-22 March at Renaissance Tuscany II Ciocco, Italy. Session themes include:

  • Connecting polar oceans to the Global Earth System (keynote);
  • Connected oceans: fluxes across polar marine gateways;
  • Ventilation, deep-water formation and sub-polar connectivity;
  • Physical connectivity across vertical interfaces and its impact on biological productivity;
  • Impacts of glaciers and the shoreline on coastal marine ecosystems;
  • Biological linkages between the ice, the water column and the seafloor;
  • Linking technology and oceanography to improve polar observation;
  • Species on the move: pathways and consequences; and
  • Connecting polar oceans and human well-being through trans-disciplinary approaches.
