It is that time of year again so apply to join the fourth SEAmester! The annual SEAmester aims to introduce marine science as an applied and cross-disciplinary field to students who have shown an affinity for core science disciplines.The SA Agulhas II will be your class room and if you are successful in your application you will spend time in traditional class-room lectures combined with hands-on ship-based deck activities.
There is space for 46 students and researchers can also apply as a lecturer. If you are a Honours/BTech, MSc/MTech, PhD or intern at a University or Technikon with a background in marine or similar sciences then consider applying. There are also no costs involved – the SEAmester programme is fully funded through the Departments of Science and Technology (DST) and Environmental Affairs (DEA).
