The AGU Earth and Planetary Surface Processes (EPSP) social media and student committees have put together a virtual series of science talks and professional development workshops for the earth science community. Even if you are not working or studying within earth science fields, some of the sessions will still be of interest to you.

The new series, EPSP Connects, will be held monthly, is free, open to the public, and you will be able to join it online from the comfort of your home. The first event in the series will be held on Wednesday, June 17 at 17:00 local time (SAST) to the theme Navigating Postdocs. The seminar will be a discussion on best practices for applying to and getting the most out of postdocs, featuring panelists Corina Cerovski-Darriau (USGS), Noah Finnegan (UC Santa Cruz), Raleigh Martin (American Geosciences Institute), and Duna Roda-Boluda (GFZ-Potsdam). The scheduled event for August 19 also has an ECR theme: Productive work habits in grad school and beyond. Again, this session is due to start at 5 PM local time and will entail a panel discussion on best practices for balancing academic productivity and mental health.
